Vadamos sired yet another winner on Wednesday when Catena Zapata struck in the mile maiden at Dundalk for Henry de Bromhead.
Making his second start, Catena Zapata was always prominent under Billy Lee and kept on well to deny Dha Leath - by Mehmas.
A €27,000 Tattersalls Ireland September yearling purchase by Kevin Ross from the draft of his breeder Woodtown House Stud, Catena Zapata is out of Pretty Priceless, a Pearl Of Love half-sister to Windsor Castle Stakes winner Drawnfromthepast.
Top miler Vadamos is the sire of 12 first-crop winners to date. In addition to Catena Zapata, they include the well-regarded dual scorers Messidor and Oo De Lally. Other representatives also include the Group 3-placed Spycatcher.
Vadamos will stand for €5,000 in 2021.
