'We have always held him in high regard' - Kessaar colt Forca Timao impresses at Doncaster

Kessaar was on the mark yet again on Friday as the sire of Forca Timao, who dented some strong reputations with an impressive success in the novice at Doncaster.

Always well regarded by the Amo Racing and Richard Hannon team, Forca Timao showed a bright turn of foot to quicken through horses for Rossa Ryan and win going away from the well-rated Courageous Knight.

"We have always held him in nice regard," said Rossa Ryan. "He had never come off the bridle at home before [his debut at] Sandown and it showed. Today, he really coped well with it. He’s a big colt and he’s learning on job."

Forca Timao becomes the latest promising winner from the first crop of Kessaar, joining the likes of Tajalla, who made an excellent winning debut at Newmarket's Craven meeting, and Bolt Action, a debut winner at Leicester prior to a creditable run at Royal Ascot.

Forca Timao was bred by Rossenarra Stud out of Belle Diva, a winning Dark Angel half-sister to Listed winner Riflescope. He was bought by us as a foal and resold to Robson Aguiar for £90,000 at last year's Goffs UK Premier Sale (pictured below).
