Good results for Mehmas and Kodiac highlight successful Tatts October Book 2

Many thanks to everyone who supported us at Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Sale. We were delighted to end the sale as leading consignor and to also see some great results for our stallions.

A good week for Mehmas was highlighted by the sale of our colt out of Turuqaat who was knocked down to Arthur Hoyeau on behalf of his Windfield Colts Partnership for 205,000gns. Joe Foley went to 160,000gns for Hillwood Stud's fine colt out of Macau while our other homebreds - colts out of Optimate and Azagba - made 130,000gns apiece to Stroud Coleman Bloodstock and Al Shaqab Racing.

Kodiac, meanwhile, was also to the fore during the week, notably thanks to our filly out of Castellated, who sold for 165,000gns FCS Bloodstock and Eddie Linehan. Ger Lyons, who has enjoyed so much success with the sire as trainer of Zarinsk, Frenetic, Geocentric and recent Listed scorer Pipsy, came away with our brother to Glounthaune at 150,000gns while Hamish Macauley and Robson Aguiar landed our colt out of Najraan for the same price.

Cotai Glory's trio on offer was headed by our colt out of Sassie, for whom the BBA Ireland went to 70,000gns. Cotai Glory ended the sale with a 51,000gns average off a €5,000 fee.

We wish everyone the best of luck with their purchases and look forward to seeing them on the track!
