Impressive 2yo another stakes winner for Kodiac

While 2yo winners Scorthy Champ, Miss Collada, Moving Force and Vingegaard ensured that it was a good week for Mehmas, it was Kodiac's turn to hit the headlines on Sunday thanks to the victory of Korisa in the Listed Premio Alessandro Perrone at Capannelle.

Successful on debut 18 days earlier, Korisa shot through a gap on the rail to win going away by three lengths from Monster's Ball.

She becomes the 98th stakes winner for Kodiac.

"She has been a good filly since day one," said trainer Sebastiano Guerrieri. "She was perfect on debut and won impressively this time."

Korisa was bred by us out of River Sands, a Kingman daughter of Group 2 winner The Miniver Rose. She was sold by us to Marco Bozzi at last year's Goffs UK Premier Sale in Doncaster.

Korisa caps a good week for Kodiac following the last to first success of Pipsy in the Grade 3 Soaring Softly Stakes in the US.
