Mehmas's latest winner - and his third this week - came courtesy of Yorkshire Pirlo's easy win in the 6f nursery at Southwell. Partnered by Laura Pearson, the Phillip Makin-trained colt drew clear for a deserved success, having been placed on three other occasions.
Yorkshire Pirlo was bred here at Tally-Ho Stud and becomes the sixth winner out of Suffer Her, by Whipper.
Mehmas's outstanding season includes several two-year-olds out of the top drawer, notably the Gr.1 Middle Park Stakes hero Supremacy, Gr.2 Gimcrack Stakes winner Minzaal and Listed scorers Acklam Express and Method.
